This week at Allsorts the challenge is Autumn Trees/ Leaves/ Berries  or Anything Goes.

We begin a new month of marvelous prizes from our sponsors!

For my Design Team card I have used Gina K Designs Harvest Silhouettes for the stamped leaves, and the  Breath of Sunshine kit for the sentiment. To create the background I masked off a piece of heavy water color card and did a wash of color. When it was almost dry I water colored again through a stencil - Snow Pines #139 from AALL & Create.  I splattered on some big drops of copper metallic water color and when completely dry, stamped the leaves. Some copper sequins were added and I cut the panel down and matted it on a shimmery copper paper and popped that up on a water color card base.  Autumn colors and leaves are my favorites :-)

Gold Birthday

Try Stampin' On Tuesday has a new sketch challenge for you today, and the team has some amazing inspiration for you.  Check it all out HERE.

They give an optional theme -  patterned paper, and I have done just that, and added a gold embossed sentiment. I tried edging the sentiment panel with some gold pigment.  Probably would have been better to just mat it.

Hope you will play along with this sketch.

Trying Technique

Happy Monday morning!

Trying a technique today that I saw on Gina K Stamp & Chat.  She used it beautifully with warm colors and a silhouette stamp. I wanted to see how it looked  with an open line stamp. Just perfect timing for today's new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!!

I used an image from Altenew, Pen Sketched Flowers and Simon Says Stamp sentiment, and pretty scraps from my box.

Hope you will join the challenge, and also check the rest of the Design Team inspiration on Wednesday's post HERE

Gel Print Card

The new sketch today at Sketch Saturday had me struggling with decision to keep it CAS or go bold. I am eager to see what crafters will create with this. It's always exciting to visit the blogs that link up!

During the summer I created dozens of gel prints and I have been trying to use some of them. Today's card has some botanical elements and bold color. My friend who is a painter will really like this one I hope. Her birthday is next week.

Four legged Friends

 Challenge #747 at Allsorts

*** Four Legged Friends  or Anything Goes ***

with prizes from

My Design Team inspiration for you used some patterned paper from my stash. I used a punch to cut circles of the cute little dog images and then adhered them to a balloon stamp and die cut from an Ellen Huston set, Clever Sausage, I've had for quite a while. The sentiment is from that set as well. The Mix and Match frame dies are from Altenew.

From My Barn to Yours

Just playing in the craft room today!  A few weeks back I watched a video at Frenchie Stamps HERE   It's the barn door pop-up card, and I copied all the measurements.  Well, a few really fun challenges are out there ( see all the links below) and it just seemed like the time to try it.  I watched the video again, and made this little barn. I decorated with stamps and dies from My Favorite Things, The Whole Herd set. I colored with Copic markers.  What a fun little card!!

Hay, hen, and chicks stamped, colored, and die cut:

Fall Anniversary

Some dear friends will be celebrating an anniversary this coming week.  So I have used a Gina K Designs stencil Delightful Blooms which was part of the Autumn Splendor kit last year.  I used Peach Bellini, Tomato Soup, Sweet Corn, Honey Mustard, Light Spruce, and Soft Stone inks.  I used Dark Spruce for the stamped part of the sentiment - from the Summer Silhouettes set, and the happy die in gold mat card. I did some light touches with two older CTMH universal background stamps with soft stone ink to add a little texture.

Masculine Birthday

Allsorts new challenge #746 has an optional theme of Masculine.  I know I am not the only crafter who struggles with getting this type of card right.  It's an excellent challenge!

Prizes from Craft StashAnna Marie DesignsAALL and CreateOakwoodWOWVOW

My go to for masculine usually is the stencil box.  My card used a really beautiful one from A Colorful Life Designs (their July release).  My colors were inspired by a color challenge (CAS Colours & Sketches #520) but this didn't turn out to be a CAS card. I inked the yellow part twice and cut one out and popped it up.

The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn, Happy Happy Happy set. It was cut with both navy and white. I offset the Happy and popped those up as well. The Birthday was stamped in navy and then in clear embossing.

Hoping you will check out the fabulous Design Team inspiration and join the challenge HERE.

Hello

My fun lately has been making Gel prints but  it's soooo hard to cut up your favorite ones to make a card.  The new sketch at

Try Stampin' On Tuesday seemed to allow me to keep as much as possible of this one. I'm afraid I enlarged the panels a bit more than the sketch, but I do like the way this came out.

For the botanical  gel print I used some leaves and fronds from the garden, a bubble stencil and two shades of acrylic paint. The back panel was embossed with a new folder Dotty Circles from Altenew. The sentiment from Altenew embossed on a tiny piece of vellum and added die cuts from Gina K Foliage Fillers.

Check out the fantastic inspiration from my Design Teammates and join the challenge!  We so enjoy visiting your blogs to see what you have created.

I hope you will join the challenge!

Sunny Birthday

A bit late  posting today, but here is my Design Team card for #734 at Sketch Saturday.  There is always an optional twist to the challenge, and this week was using red/yellow/blue.  My card doesn't use the option but it was great fun using the sketch as inspiration.

My products are Gina K Designs latest Breath of Sunshine kit with Gina K inks -Wild Dandelion, Prickly Pear, Jelly Bean Green, and Fresh Asparagus. This is a layered stamp set that is so easy to line up. I used the coordinating dies. The stitched dies are from My Favorite Things, and Close To My Heart embossing folder.

Hope you will join the challenge at Sketch Saturday!  It will run through September 22nd.

Also linking to Tic Tac Toe Challenge #225.  I used Birthday, Die Cuts, Stamping.

Use a Die Cut!

A very fun new challenge #745 at Allsorts!

*** Use a Die Cut   ~  or Anything Goes ***

Prizes from Craft StashAnna Marie DesignsAALL and CreateOakwood

My card uses the Small Die of the Month from Spellbinders Breezy Swing that cut the girl, swing, and all the floral bits from my scraps container.  I used some curvy dies to cut green lawn.  The sentiment was done on my computer and inside is a message for my granddaughter for her school start this week.

Hope you will have a crafty week and join us!

Smile For a Friend

Just a bit of fun this morning thinking of a friend I have missed.  I pulled out a very old Close To My Heart set (purchased in 1990's!) because I was thinking I could use some fun reverse strips (CZ Design). The stamp has two layers for the grapes, so I stamped off for the first layer. Colors and design inspired by CAS Colours & Sketches. I used Gina K Designs Plum Punch and Light Spruce inks.
