Frankly, you are awesome

 Happy Halloween!

# 497 is the new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!

I have opted for one last minute Halloween card using some very old papers and a sentiment from CTMH. Just love mining the Halloween bag stash for some Cricut snips and embellishments, too. Frank is a stamp/die set (Kelly Purkey/ Hero Arts).

You can see the rest of the Design Team creations Wednesday. It's a fun sketch and I look forward to seeing your creations using it.

Celebrate #700! Allsorts

Create a project to CELEBRATE any occasion!
A BIG celebration this week at Allsorts!!  With four prizes in all as well as top five selection.

                                                         A stunning Mixed Media Bundle

Two delightful stencils

And this bundle will be shared between two winners.

My inspiration for you used some paper from my stash as the blue background panel. I stamped, gold embossed and die cut an image from Retro Plantines (Altenew) and some die cut Eucalyptus Leaves (Simon Says Stamp). The sentiment, an ancient favorite (Papertrey Ink), was heat embossed. I arranged the pieces around the sentiment using Press'nSeal to keep them in place. Turned them over and used liquid glue on the eucalyptus and foam tape to pop up the gold embossed pieces.  After trimming the extras, the panel was adhered to a gold mat card front. Some pearls from my stash were added.

Autumn Birthday

14 October birthdays totally depleted my birthday card stash.  The year got ahead of me. So today is a fun day of making use of my fall goodies and having a few sweet cards for the November babies :-)

There was a large mailer that came this week and I loved the inside security pattern so much it had to be recycled!

This is a Gina K Designs product card: Master Layouts 2 gave me the stitched panel and black layer, ML 1 the oval, the fall images and birthday sentiment are from Absolutely Autumn, and the happy die cut from Happy and Shadow die.  The images were all colored with Altenew artist alcohol markers and splattered with Black Soot Distress Oxide.

Sketch Saturday #712

A new challenge at Sketch Saturday!

I didn't use the option to make a holiday card.  I am in serious need of birthday cards, so for the sketch I have used a bubble print (literally made touching the paper to paint bubbles) that I stenciled with Simon Says Stamp solar burst. The floral element is from Altenew's Wild Geranium mini set and the sentiment from the Altenew Waterlily Dahlia set.

Colors of Autumn

                      ****Colors oAutumn****

Allsorts challenge #699 this week would like to see entries inspired by the beautiful colors Nature gives to us at this time of year, RedsYellowsGreensGoldsOranges, Browns (but not Halloween Purple - it's not a color Nature offers in Autumn).
The design team has created some stunning inspiration for you. So bring some autumn color to your craft room and join us at Allsorts! This weeks prize is in keeping with the theme with the lovely Acorn Collage stamp set from AALL and Create.

My card used a technique I saw on Jennifer McGuire - Using Vellum for Making Holiday Cards https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fyXowvdYwc&t=1027s
I used a panel I had created with my gel plate and added some splatter and stenciling. I cut it at an angle per her instructions and adhered it to a vellum top fold card. The die cut leaves were inked and splattered and then attached along the edge.  The other angled piece was attached inside and in real life the pattern shows through the vellum so nicely.  The sentiments are from Gina K Designs.

Double the Fun

A great new challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!

My design team inspiration for you this week pulled together some older paper from my stash and a gel print with leaves made a while ago.  I used a very old CTMH stamp set on the print and today created a random stamp front panel with them to go with the print.  The sentiment is Gina K Designs stamped in Chocolate ink.

Thankful TSOT 578

A wonderful new sketch challenge at Try Stampin' On Tuesday!  The optional theme is Fall Activities.

I returned this week from a wonderful trip to Eastern Europe and am delighted to be back in the craft room and able to visit blogs once again.  Many apologies for missing the chance to leave comments on your creations these past three weeks.

My inspiration for this sketch at TSOT uses a marvelous technique from Gina K Designs that she calls 'Carved Wood."  You score card stock, run ink pad to paper, then emboss and brush a darker ink over the embossing. Just love this rich look!

The EF used was Vine from CTMH. The sentiment die is Pretty Pink Posh, and the Small Stitched Leaves from Lawn Fawn. Papers and inks CTMH from my stash (most long retired!).

Hope you will check out the rest of the inspiration from the talented Design Team and join us!

Happy crafting,

Dena J

Give Thanks

Good morning! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Monday means a new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and I have an inspiration for you.  Thanksgiving and autumn cards are my favorite to make.   All the design team cards will be posted on the AHSC site on Wednesday.

I die cut some leaves from Tim Holtz from copper card stock. Then I used some Distress inks to smoosh on water color card. Once dry I cut more leaves using Gina K Designs Foliage Filler dies. The sentiment was embossed with Copper powder- it is from Gina K Everything Nice mini set, and the card was finished with a few copper sequins.  Papers from my stash. I hope you will play along with this week's sketch!

Gardener's Delight

At Allsorts  week #696 Lynn has a very fun challenge theme                                               *Gardener's Delight*

with two prizes from Oakwood Direct. A die and a Stampendous stencil. Details and images on Allsorts blog!

My design team inspiration used a set from Impress Stamps that has been in my stash and well loved and used for a long time.  I do love to garden and grow lots of veggies in my raised beds each year. For this card I random stamped lots of the images in the set, cut it down and matted with black. The back panel was created using a technique Jennifer McGuire showcased using my scoreboard to deboss 1/4" lines and then brayer the cardstock with white pigment ink.  I used some twine and a tiny tag die for a sentiment.

Lots of great inspiration from the rest of the team at Allsorts. Hope you'll join us this week!
