So I am entering my card in their current challenge at CatchtheBug - Stella Says Sketch Challenge.I used some CTMH papers and colored with my Copics.

Peaceful

CAS(E) this Sketch #349 is so nice that I just wanted to make another holiday card.  I used a patterned paper piece from a long ago Close To My Heart pack along with a new Simon Says die and sentiment.  The card stock is a lovely champagne shimmer, and the snowflake is also cut from shimmer paper - hard to photograph, but lovely in real life.

Winter Birthday

No photo description available.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #345   A busy time of the year for sure, but always time to make some special cards for those winter birthdays.  I have finished my holiday cards and decided to keep using some of those fun products for the January birthdays on my list.

This uses some CTMH card stock and Echo Park patterned paper. The sled is a Memory Box die, the snowflake an exclusive Simon Says Stamp die, and the sentiment (stamp and die) are from a Gina K Designs set.

Hop on over to Atlantic Hearts and check out the sketch. I look forward to seeing your cards linked there this week.

Happy crafting!

JOY

My card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #343
I have used some retired Close to My Heart papers, Pear & Partridge, for the card front. The wreath was created using Hero Arts Layering Pomegranate stamp and die set, and a die from My Favorite Things. I added some liquid drops for embellishment.  The sentiments are from a new set, Holiday Greetings- Mix I, from Simon Says Stamp.

Inside...it's actually stamped straight - my picture is crooked!

Friendship

The central image and sentiment are from a long ago stamp of the month from Close to My Heart, and it has been a favorite of mine.  The background is a new stamp for me- You Matter Background from Simon Says Stamp inked with CTMH Whisper ink.  The image was stamped twice, colored with Copic markers and fussy cut. I used foam tape to pop up the image and sentiment.

Playing with Alcohol Inks

Last night I got out the Yupo paper and a few newer bottles of ink I hadn't tried yet...I made a big mess, and had fun!  For some reason, it was still tacky this morning. That was perfect for adding some foil highlights last night, but now I have tried the heat gun, and they still aren't really dry.  The Yupo paper doesn't cut well with the dies either. But I managed to create some cards.

The large leaf on the left was cut from textured card stock with Simon Says Stamp Large Stitched Maple die. I placed the alcohol piece behind the opening, and adhered it all to a cream card.

I've seen many of these leaf cuts showing pattern in the cut out. They really are a beautiful way to showcase papers, homemade or not!

Cut one leaf out of the center...then popped it with some foam tape. The other two didn't cut through, so I hand trimmed around. The sentiment was heat embossed with gold. This was a design I saw on Pinterest, but apparently didn't save so I am not able to give proper credit for the inspiration.

AHSC #339 Thanksgiving

Atlantic Hearts #339 new sketch!  I love this sketch. It was so fun to bring together a number of fun products. I used a marvelous background stamp from Simon Says Stamp, inked up with Creole Spice Kaleidacolor ink pad, Stampin' Up ribbon from my stash, cut and embossed leaves from Momenta dies on some watercolor paper smooshed with the same ink pad, stamped and cut some wheat from a Papertrey set, used the same set for the sentiment heat embossed in gold, added in a few solid leaves cut from card stock with Lawn Fawn stitched leaves dies, and added some sparkle with a gold paper cut leaf from Tim Holtz Skeleton Leaves die, and a few dots of Liquid Pearls.  My desk is a disaster...but the card is just as I hoped♥

Grateful for You

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #337 begins today.
No photo description available.
My card used some older Close To My Heart patterned paper, a CTMH long-retired stamp set and some Distress Oxide inks.
I daubed color on the leaves and random stamped them on the paper. I splattered, and cut the piece down to adhere to the 5.5x4.25" piece of card stock.  I cut the burlap ribbon into a flag, and tied with cord and a tiny sentiment and tag from a new Simon Says Stamp set. Some Studio G glitter drops gave this otherwise soft card a bit of sparkle.

Krafty Chicks Sketch 474 Grateful Heart

Krafty Chicks is highlighting a Mojo Monday sketch this week - and I, too, am a huge fan of their sketches.  They provided me with so much inspiration.  So I am happy to play along at Krafty Chicks challenge this week!

I've used products from Papertrey Ink (sentiment), Simon Says (stitched circles), and a leaf stamp from Hampton Arts.

Thanksgiving

The holiday that I adore is Thanksgiving.  It gives me the opportunity to cook some of my favorite foods, tell friends and family how grateful I am to have them in my life, and to enjoy the gorgeous colors of autumn.  So I've begun my cards for this holiday...I usually mail between 15-20.  Today's card uses a new to me die set from Pretty Pink Posh, and a stamp+die set from Hampton Art. I embossed the leaves in gold, then did some watercolor using Close To My Heart dye inks. The sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink set.

Wonderful You

A special birthday card for a dear friend...inspired by
CASology Challenge #352

I used a filigree die cut on two shades of blue metallic paper. On some water color paper, I used a very wet, diluted wash of Yasutomo shimmer watercolor, and some splatters of gold.  The sentiment was stamped with Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass, and heat embossed with a transparent glitter powder.
