Anniversary

It's been a furnace in my house...expecting 110 F today, and not ideal when your arms stick to anything they rest on.  Not a typical June day in the PNW!

I did start a card for the Freshly Made Sketch before the heat took over, and I really needed to finish it for some very dear friends celebrating today.  Used Altenew products: 3D embossing folder, Pen Sketched Flowers and sentiment from the Happy Together set.

AHSC # 427

Good Morning! Monday means a new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and this is my Design Team card.  All the DT cards can be seen on the blog Wednesday.  This sketch is a great opportunity to combine some pretty papers in your stash.

I heat embossed a butterfly from the SSS May 2020 kit on vellum and fussy cut it.  The papers are from Carta Bella. I used a variety of circle punches, and the butterfly is popped on foam squares.

Hope you will play along. I enjoy visiting your blogs to see what lovely things you create. It is record breaking temps here, and I am staying in the craft room using my misting bottle on myself! lol

Bold Retro Plantines

This bold ink blended panel was inspired by the color challenge #589 at  Just Us Girls blog. I stamped the image and then cut it with the coordinating die, and cut it again from black card stock which was inlaid and the other popped with a little offset.  The stamp is from Altenew and so is the sentiment; paper is just from my stash of black and whites.

Inks:  Gina K- Lipstick, Coral Reef;  Altenew- Orange Cream, Fuchsia, Magenta

Sketch Saturday #665

Fun new sketch this week at Sketch Saturday!  This challenge is sponsored by Riley & Co.

My design team card for Sketch #665 used a favorite set of mine from Lawn Fawn. Images were stamped, colored with Copics and fussy cut.

Childhood Memory

The current challenge at AAA Cards got me reminiscing about some of my favorite childhood memories of summer.  My growing up was pretty awesome and there were many happy thoughts swirling around, but one big constant in our summer lives was spending time at Sakonnet in Little Compton, RI.  We went every year for two full weeks and I also spent two summers there as an au pair for a family with five girls. I will send this card to my brother who is still back east living on Cape Cod.

I stamped the image from an older CTMH set and water colored. Then hand lettered.

Floral Birthday

Playing with metallic watercolors a bit this afternoon. I did a no-line watercolor on the image, then stamped the outline again and heat embossed.  It has a few more layers than a true CAS card should have- more of a clean and layered, but I love the sparkle. Stamp and sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.

Lots of Love

A shaker card today.  These are always such fun to make. It is my design team card for                    Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #425 and I am also linking to Beyond the Blue #19 for their shaker challenge this week.

The striped paper is from my stash, the heart die from Simon Says Stamp, the sentiment from Altenew.

Hope you find some crafty time to play along with the sketch this week!

Winsome Bloom

Using Just Add Ink Sketch #558

Used the Altenew Mini set again today - this time heat embossed with gold and colored with Artist Markers.  I used a piece of subtle striped sparkly paper from my stash and added thin gold frames using  the Altenew Fine Frames cover die.  It feels like there is plenty going on on the front, and so I will put a sentiment on the inside.  It's always nice to have a few cards ready that can be used for anything.

Hello Friend

Starting my day with a sketch challenge from Sunday Stamps #258

Struggled to align this layered flower image (Altenew Winsome Bloom) and finally gave up and stamped just the outline on colored card stock and gave it a light shading with a cool gray Copic,  and it looks much nicer.  The colors in this paper from a CTMH pack (2014) I have been hoarding in my patterned files make me happy. I 'grunge' stamped texture background on the cream panel using Ranger Pumice Stone Distress ink. The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp March 2020 kit stamped in Black Soot Distress Oxide

A Happy Hello

New sketch today at Sketch Saturday.  I have taken the sketch and with inspiration from Beyond the Blue challenge #18 to use patterned paper, created my card.

The papers and sticker are left from my  pretty scrap stash. I used CTMH colored card stock, and the sentiments are from the recent 'A Little Hello' kit from Gina K.

Can you get crafty this weekend?  If you do link up to the sketch at Sketch Saturday here.
