Elf

"E" is for Elf  is the fun challenge at Sisterhood for Snarky Stampers #174.  I used last week's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for the design but missed their deadline.  The patterned paper is from Kringle & Co. and images and sentiment from a fun Memory Box set and coordinating dies.  Colored with Copics.

Peace this Season

ATLANTIC HEARTS SKETCH CHALLENGE  #397

The challenge runs Nov. 30-Dec. 6th  My design team card will be posted at their site Wednesday.  Lots of inspiration for you to try this sketch.

There are often deer and fawn walking around my neighborhood.  We live near several gulches and a large wooded park.  They show little fear of humans and wander from yard to yard snacking on their favorite plants.  Those on my card come from My Favorite Things set, So Very Fawned of You. I've colored them with Copics, cut with coordinating dies. The sentiment is from CZ Design, Clean Line Christmas (SSS).  The hexagons were cut with stitched dies from Pretty Pink Posh. The background panels are from a long retired and hoarded CTMH set of papers.

Color

This sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches has been in my head. With Christmas stamps all over my table...I had just used this CZ Design Clean Line Christmas set for a sentiment, and as I put it away an idea struck to use the trees.  So here they are, colored with Altenew artist markers, and a sentiment from Simon Says  reverse sentiment strips.

Merry Christmoose!

Time to craft those Christmas cards!  I decided to dress up my new Riley characters and get them in the spirit.   Riley's shirt was cut from Kringle & Co. paper, packages stamped from last year's Simon Says December card kit stamp set, and computer generated sentiment.

I'm linking this to Just Us Girls challenge #564 (see the photo inspiration below) and to the

Lazy

I love Riley & Co. sentiments! And Riley the Moose is pretty cute, too.          This card uses  Sketch Saturday #637 design.  The challenge runs Saturday November 21-27, and because Sketch Saturday's sponsor is Riley & Co. you could win a prize of credit in their store!  Check it out and craft along with us this week.

It's Your Day

Watercooler Wednesday challenge # 298 'Masculine'

My card was inspired by Kristina Werner's block stamping with Concord & 9th Painted Shapes set.  I used Platinum Planet Brilliance pigment, CTMH Peacock, Twilight and Glacier inks.  The sentiment is from Gina K Smile die and stamp set - cut from silver vellum and stamped with Peacock. There is quite a bit of shimmer from the Brilliance pad  hard to see on the photograph.  This feels like a great masculine birthday card to me, and I have several on my list for January.

Warm Winter Wishes

ATLANTIC HEARTS SKETCH CHALLENGE #395 inspired my design this week.  The colors were inspired by  the Color Throwdown #619  'Aqua, Red, Silver, '  and I am also linking to  Krafty Chicks #533  'Christmas' theme.'

The circle was cut with a Lawn Fawn Stittched Scalloped Circle die. I stamped several trees and stars with Flora & Fauna images (Cozy Cuddles Penguin Set) with Silver Brilliance pigment ink. The aqua shimmer card stock is from Simon Says Stamp. The silver glitter card stock from my stash, The polar bear image is from an old favorite Close To My Heart set, colored with Altenew artist markers and fussy cut.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.  It came out sparkly and fun. What a delightful color palette!

Pine Cones

Breezy weather and lots of pine cones for gathering here in the PNW.  My little grandson and I made a bird feeder from one with a bit of peanut butter and seeds this week.  The blue jays loved it!

This card was inspired by the Double D Challenge "Pine trees or Cones".

The cones were cut with a shimmery gold paper from my scrap bin using a Momenta die, the pine was cut with a Flora & Fauna die. I cut from CTMH card stock and then brushed edges with Ponderosa Pine ink. The sentiment stamped with Ponderosa Pine is from the Hero Arts Holly Days set. I added some Altenew gold thread and Liquid Pearls.  Mounted on a stitched square cut using My Favorite Things die-namics.

Holiday Mail

It's been a busy week and very little time allowed for crafting, so I'm excited to be back at the table today and to play with the current challenge at AAA Cards

To create the vertical element I masked off and blended blue dye ink, and then used a stencil and embossing paste to create the 'snow'.  Stamped, colored and die cut the mailbox, gift and letters.  I cut a little slit in the mailbox to slide in one letter.

I used the sketch and primary colors as well.

Products Used:    My Favorite Things Falling Snow stencil;  Memory Box Christmas Elves set stamps and dies; Copic markers; CTMH Pacifica ink and blending brush; embossing paste and powder; CTMH colored card stock.

Give Thanks

The Pacific Northwest has had a lovely week of sunshine, rain, wind...the leaves are flying!  This is my design team card for Sketch Saturday challenge #635.  Lots of layers and shapes. I did the back panel with random stamped leaves embossed in clear, water colored and trimmed.  The maple leaf is a Simon Says die cut that was cut from a 'smooshed' piece of water color paper. Since I had lots of ink splatter on the panel, I dug out an older rubber CTMH stamp, Stoneware Texture, to add some dimension to the solid card stock elements.  All fun in here....now time to go outside and rake them up!

Always Grateful

I have been wanting to use this Botanic Envelope set from Mama Elephant for some time...funny how new things sometimes get set aside.  But the challenges at Less Is More #431 and                        CAS Colours & Sketches #395 inspired me last night.  I really like how this turned out.  All the     foliage and back panel done with Altenew watercolors. I also cut some additional foliage using My Favorite things dies. The sentiment  from a CTMH set was heat embossed.

Trim the Tree

This challenge at AAA Cards had me searching around for tiny star stamps.  This is the second card...the first went to the bin. CAS can be so much more complicated than it seems!  This one makes me happy. Though once I had posted these photos, I felt it needed a tiny line of gray under the tree trunk to ground it.

Season of Blessings AHSC#393

Inspiration at The Paper Players #515 +Atlantic Hearts sketch Team A Design Team.
Sometimes when you see a sketch an idea just pops in your mind. That happened with this sketch, and it actually turned out just as I imagined.       A rare craft experience!  The images from a Simon Says Stamp set were stamped along the edge of a traced circle, I colored them with watercolor pencils and lightly blended with water.  I added white gel pen for whipped cream and the dots on the orange strip. The sentiment is combined from that SSS set and an older Close to My Heart set.

Check out the sketch at ATLANTIC HEARTS Sketch Challenge - the challenge runs today through November 8th.
