Hello Hummingbird

One of the things I love about my yard is the birds. They entertain and delight my grandchildren, too.  We enjoy watching the feeders and identifying our visitors.  So it was exciting to see the new hummingbird stamps and dies being released.  The die on this card is from Hero Arts. It was water colored with Yatsumoto shimmer colors, and then cut.  The sentiment is from Mama Elephant, embossed with Ranger Liquid Platinum.

Life is a Garden

Just a few weeks ago the sun was shining, the temperature in the high 50s -low 60s...I mowed the lawn and inspected the daffodil sprouts, the tulip sprouts, the forsythia buds. And now it is below freezing, and all that green is covered with snow!  But I know this too shall pass, and I'll be back out there soon. Meanwhile I can dream about it with some sweet stamps from Impress and watercolors.

Sew Thankful

This was a fun time. I love it when a sketch and a theme challenge come together.  Lots of products came together as well: three different sets of Simon Says stitched dies, Close to My Heart stamp and sentiment, pinking shears, Copics, and Nuvo drops.

AHSC #251 Thank You So Much

So much inspiration on the blogs for creating flower clusters....I think I need some practice, but I love the look.
For this card, the flowers were stamped and cut with matching dies of the Springtime Wishes set (CTMH)  The papers are from CTMH Penelope collection, ink colors Thistle, Pear, Crystal Blue, Pear, Honey and New England Ivy. These are outline stamps, so I used a water brush to fill in with the inks. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Circle Sayings

This is the sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge this week. Go check out their awesome Design Team inspiration!

AHSC #250

Spring is just around the corner. It got cold today, but earlier this week it was sunny and warm enough to do yard work. There are little green spouts all over out there (not all weeds :-) )
Being outside finally got me out of the winter mojo funk I've been in for a while. So I dug around in my craft room and found some old stuff that made me happy: Zoe papers and an ancient CTMH set called 'Springtime' that I have always loved.

Lots of fussy cutting, fun foam, foam tape, liquid glass and Nuvo drops later...a card! Isn't it funny how once you get the picture up you see little flaws?  I'll need to straighten that bit of twine.
