Krafty Chicks Sketch 474 Grateful Heart

Krafty Chicks is highlighting a Mojo Monday sketch this week - and I, too, am a huge fan of their sketches.  They provided me with so much inspiration.  So I am happy to play along at Krafty Chicks challenge this week!

I've used products from Papertrey Ink (sentiment), Simon Says (stitched circles), and a leaf stamp from Hampton Arts.

Thanksgiving

The holiday that I adore is Thanksgiving.  It gives me the opportunity to cook some of my favorite foods, tell friends and family how grateful I am to have them in my life, and to enjoy the gorgeous colors of autumn.  So I've begun my cards for this holiday...I usually mail between 15-20.  Today's card uses a new to me die set from Pretty Pink Posh, and a stamp+die set from Hampton Art. I embossed the leaves in gold, then did some watercolor using Close To My Heart dye inks. The sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink set.
I will link this to  two challenges:  The House that Stamps Built S2519
and             Watercooloer Wednesday #240 All Occassions

A bird with a french fry

I used a stamp from Impression Obsession for the sentiment and the bird comes from Simon Says Stamp Look for the Rainbow set.

Inspired today by Freshly Made Sketches #404   and  Double D 'Focus on the Sentiment'     challenges.  I rotated the sketch.

Good Morning!
Time for the weekly challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.
Check it out and play along.

I used a lot of different products on this: stencil from SSS, Ranger Distress inks, Jim Holtz die, CTMH card stock and sentiment, Nuvo drops, and embellishments from my local craft store.

Wonderful You

A special birthday card for a dear friend...inspired by
CASology Challenge #352

I used a filigree die cut on two shades of blue metallic paper. On some water color paper, I used a very wet, diluted wash of Yasutomo shimmer watercolor, and some splatters of gold.  The sentiment was stamped with Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass, and heat embossed with a transparent glitter powder.

Thank You

Inspired by several challenge blogs today. I have used a 'split' from Papertrey Ink, and Fresh Cut Grass sequins from Simon Says Stamp.

Friendship

No photo description available.

Happy Monday morning!  Time for this weeks sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #333

My color palette was inspired by an older, very favorite CTMH paper collection. All I had left was some small pieces of paper and a few stickers.  So I tried to match the colors with my Copics. It's a flower stamp that is part of the Simon Says Stamp September card kit. I stamped on Colonial White with a light ink, colored with image, them stamped again with Cocoa ink. Love the Misti for making this so easy! I gave a few highlights with a white gel pen, and fussy cut it out.  The circle is a stitched die from Simon Says.  Embellishments are from my CTMH stash.  The circle and flower cluster were popped with foam for some dimension. I also did a bit of paper distressing with the Cocoa ink. Card base is CTMH Sorbet, and I'm not even sure if this is still in their color collection, but it is a favorite of mine.

Hamsa

It was fascinating to travel in Morocco last year and learn about this unique symbol.  It symbolizes the Hand of God.  In all faiths it is a protective sign that brings its owner happiness, luck, health, and good fortune.   There are many designs, and I was excited to see this intricate die in the Simon Says Stamp shop. It arrived last week, and I was able to make several cards with it today.  This one was inspired by the sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps #212.  The sentiment is from a reprinted tiny sentiment card from Simon Says cut with sentiment die from My Favorite Things.
