Sketch Saturday #706

Good Morning!

There is a new challenge at Sketch Saturday and I have a card to inspire you to play along.

I cut some circles from copy paper to use as a stencil and inked in several different shades of blue on a pale blue card stock panel. I then stamped a background sentiment stamp and stenciled some silver pigment ink over the top. I cut the larger circle in the middle and mounted on a dark blue card panel. Then decided to cut a smaller circle in the middle as a window to the card base.  The die cuts are from Gina K Designs as is the silver embossed sentiment. I added blue and silver confetti from Pretty Pink Posh.

i hope you will give the sketch a try!

Allsorts Week 687 🦋 🐞

 Good Morning!

Mervi 's challenge this week at Allsorts is  *** Butterflies or Bugs***

There are two fantastic prizes for this week from our generous sponsor  Craft Stash

My design team inspiration card below was created using Simon Hurley circle stamping foam impressed with several butterfly dies and inked with Distress Oxide inks. I then masked the circle and stamped with an old text background from CTMH and ink blended with Whisper ink using a Stamplorations butterfly stencil. The sentiment (CTMH retired) was silver heat embossed on vellum. I die cut the largest butterfly (Hero Arts) from white and ink blended, fold it in half and silver embossed the body. This is all foam mounted on a Fog top folding card.

Please check out the amazing creations by the rest of the team at Allsorts and join us!

Let's Party!

Krafty Chicks #622 - All Occasions

I spent today in the shade water coloring this very cute House Mouse stamp and tried to photograph it in the strawberry plants. So hot and sunny, that it looked washed out. This desktop version better.

Altenew watercolors; Gina K Master Layout dies and reverse sentiment strips.

Stay cool and crafty :-)

Sympathy

Created yesterday for a friend who has just had a very sudden loss in her family. I used an alcohol ink background to cut the large butterfly. I decided I wanted a bit of something behind the butterfly so I heat embossed the music image on the card base. and cut another piece of ivory card and embossed the sentiment and popped up the two from panels over the music.  The die is a Hero Arts fancy cut, and music is a KaiserCraft stamp.

I am linking this card to Krafty Chicks challenge 621 - CAS

Good Vibes

Happy to be back at some crafting and working with my design teams! Crafting with both hands in splints is a challenge, but the breaks are healing well and while awkward and slow going, it's 'better than horrible' :-)

The new sketch at Atlantic Hearts this week has lots of layers and fun possibilities. My card uses some paper from Pebbles that was in my stash, dies from both Altenew, MFT, Gina K, and Simon Says Stamp!

Hope you will stay cool in your crafty space and join the fun.

Anything Summer at Allsorts

Well, I am back in the craft room with both hands in splints...so I'm not doing the best. Limited mobility dictating very simple stuff. But I'm just thrilled to be able to do anything right now!

A fun new challenge at Allsorts this week is from Brenda                                                                  ***Anything Summer ***

Two prizes this week - a fun summer themed Stampendous stamp set from our sponsor Oakwood Direct and                                                3 images from  Ruth Hamilton Designs.

My card uses Perfect Popsicles from Sunny Studio stamped with Gina K Wild Dandelion and Carnation inks. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp set Beachy Keen. I heat embossed the sentiment once in white and then again with transparent Crystal which makes it extra frosty. Patterned paper from my stash.

I hope you will check out the other inspiration cards from the team and join us!

TSOT565 Cookies help

A new sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday!  This sketch has an optional theme: Sweet Treats.

My design team card uses the option with cookies, and was made entirely from scrap pieces of paper/card stock.  The cookie jar and cookies were colored with Copics.

I hope you will play along with the sketch!

SS #705 Blueberries

Well, it's been a few weeks since I have been able to post...after a fall and sprains and breaks in BOTH hands.  This is my first attempt at crafting with splints.  It took all day. But it felt so wonderful to be back at it. I can't praise the Misti enough!! Stamping just wouldn't be possible without it right now.

This is my design team inspiration for Sketch Saturday #705.  I have rotated the sketch. Just before the accident I had ordered lots of new things, one of them this blueberry stamp set designed by Lesia Zgharda. I random stamped the various blueberry clusters and colored with Copics.

The sentiment is Gina K Designs, Bitty Botanicals Mini. Gingham from MFT. The 'wave' cut with MFT die, Snow Drifts.

Photographed on my backyard blueberry bush!

Can't wait for these to begin ripening. I have two very large bushes and it's a bumper crop this year.

Thank you for looking and I sure hope to see you link up at Sketch Saturday!  The challenge lasts for two weeks.

Flora & Fauna

This week Allsorts challenge #683 is Anything Goes with option of Flora/Fauna. There are two prizes offered for this week's challenge: a die and a floral stencil from Highlight Crafts.

My Design Team card features both Flora and Fauna.  The card front was embossed with a stitched cover die plate from Simon Says Stamp, Detail Swirls. The center panel was ink blended with Gina K Designs inks and stencil, Lush Leaves. The butterflies, from Gina K Designs, Never Lose Hope Mini, were stamped and heat embossed in black, ink blended and fussy cut. The sentiment is from a preprinted reverse sentiment sheet.

I was excited to see a colorful butterfly on one of my hanging baskets yesterday, but wasn't quick enough to capture a photo.

I hope you will check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of the Design Team and  join the challenge at Allsorts!
