AHSC #313

My card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #313
Wonderful sketch there this week - go check it out and play along!

I am posting from Iwaki, Japan!
I made this at home and brought it with me...but left my camera at home. So once again, I'm having to post a poor phone photograph.

This card used a favorite stamp set from Stamplorations - the butterflies are so pretty. This one was colored with Zig Clean Brush markers, and hand cut and popped up with foam tape. The triangle die cut is from Birch Press, backed with card stock. I used an edge trimmer for the scallop. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart.

Cherry Blossom Time

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #311

I am eagerly preparing for my trip to Japan. Leaving tomorrow, and hoping there will be a few cherry blossoms left to view in Northern Honshu!  The stamp set is retired CTMH , 'Fabulous You,' and I tried some water coloring on the image using Distress Oxides.  I stamped the diamond pattern from the set several times using CTMH Champagne ink. I stamped the image twice again, colored some of the flower images, fussy cut them and popped them up with a bit of foam tape.  I also added some highlights on the flowers with a black and white gel pens.

This is a wonderful sketch - hop on over to AHSC and play along. If you need a little more inspiration, my card and the rest of the Design Team will post there on Wednesday.

I apologize for the poor color...I seem to have lost my regular camera, and this was a phone photo...It is a soft, muted card. Very peaceful.  The close up shows the colors a bit better.
