Christmas Village

Continuing the Christmas challenge at

Try A Sketch On Tuesday

My card used some papers from my stash of CTMH.  I embossed the bottom panel with a new Spellbinder's folder, Festive Greetings, and placed Gina K Designs die cuts from Winter Wonderland inside the circle. The sentiment is foiled with silver and I added some silver shimmer dots.

Stripes

Inspired by Can You Handle the Pressure challenge "Stars and/or Stripes"

My card used the debossed side of an embossed panel from Spellbinder's Cottage Wall 3-D folder. I ink blended in the debossed wells of the flower and leaves, then lightly rubbed Outdoor Denim ink over all.  The sentiment is from Gina K Designs stamp and die set Spring Things stamped in the denim ink. Embellishments are Fresh Sprout from Trinity Stamps.

Sending Hugs

This week's sketch challenge at Atlantic Hearts

My card used so many different things from my stash - Gina K Designs houses from the Winter Wonderland set, Best Friend background stamp from My Favorite Things, sentiment from Avery Elle Hugs set, arrows and hearts from a tiny Simon Says Stamp set, plaid paper from Authentique that I got in 2019!  I made the tiny envelopes.

I really had fun making this. Hope you will play along, too, and share your card at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Joyful Christmas in July

Joyful today for summer days...but crafting for another season. It's always fun to go through the Christmas stash in July and make some cards.  It's the second most used kind of card after birthdays, so very helpful to get a head start!

Try A Sketch On Tuesday has two sketches and a month-long challenge for Christmas in July.

My card uses a Spellbinder's embossing folder (Hexi Snowflake, July24), Gina K Designs Ornamental Trees die, some green gold card, and a sentiment die from Savvy that's been in my stash for many years.

Sweet Summer Wishes

Wonderful new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!!

My card used a reverse frame technique from Natasha Foote with Altenew's Nesting Arches.  The berry clusters are from Gina K Designs newest kit - Strawberry Harvest embossing folder, dies, and stencil; sentiment from Sunny Days and Breezy Nights. The inks I used were inspired by Meghann Andrews: Medium and Dark Cranberry, Grass Green, Medium Spruce, and Sweet Corn.

Hope you will play along!  The challenge runs through Sunday, July 5th.

Star Spangled Birthday

Do you have friends or family with a July 4th birthday?   I have three friends with birthdays on the 3rd, 5th, and 6th.  So I am making some cards today to get in the mail.  This is a pull-tab flip card design from Connie at Simply Simple Stamping.

The cake image on the front is an older Art Impressions stamp, also used an ancient set from CTMH for the stamped stars and star brad, and the sentiments are from Gina K Design's newest kit.

You Shine TSOT

Challenge #698 starting now at Try A Sketch On Tuesday

and you can also craft along with our sister blog Double Trouble and their 3-2-1 challenge that began yesterday. (see below)

My DT inspiration for TSOT includes some ink blending, stenciling with silver paste, a bit of stamping and a die cut sentiment and heart. It's a mini-slim line card (3.23"x6.25")  I went for a literal interpretation of the sketch because I loved the cascading stars.

Optional Twist: use some glitter or sparkle on you card.

Ink blended with Gina K inks, tag die also from Gina K. Stamps are CTMH sets about 2007, sentiment from Altenew.

A Little Whiny

Every July our P.E.O. chapter has a wine tasting event hosted by a wonderful sister. We gather with appetizers in her lovely yard and sip and visit.  She also began a book club for the chapter "Reading Between the Wines"  :-)   This is a thank you card for her event coming up this year.  And it is also for TIMEOUT challenge #314  favorite beverage!

I used the My Favorite Things wine glass die and the shaker insert.  I gave the glass a layer of Liquid Glass.  This card uses all ancient stuff from my stash!  Some CTMH paper and a set CTMH called Bon Appetit from 2009.  Like fine wines some products age well!

Computer generated sentiment.

Daisy Thanks

New challenge at Try A Sketch On Tuesday!

Love this cheery plaid paper and had just a small piece remaining and an embellishment.  Such a quick fun card. I used a Lawn Fawn scalloped circle die and CZ Design Just Saying stamp and die set for the sentiment.

Thanks for visiting my blog today. Hope you will play along at TSOT, and also check out our sister blog challenge at Double Trouble.

You are the Best

This morning I have a quick random stamp card using silhouette stamps.  It's a great new sketch this week at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

A simple card to create with some strips of card stock stamped with small silhouette images from Gina K Designs Grateful Greenery and Bitty Botanicals. The focal floral bouquet is from the Courtyard Silhouettes set, and sentiment from You Are Enough.

This card is a thank you to a friend that shared marvelous recipes and pictures from her trip to France with our P.E.O. group last week.

There are so many ways to create with this versatile sketch - I hope you will join the challenge and link up your crafty creation at AHSC

Blog Fun

Fun new challenges!

Try A Sketch On Tuesday and it's sister blog Double Trouble have some great inspiration for you. The sketch is from TSOT and it is the 8th anniversary celebration at Double Trouble with special drawings for entries. Do one or both and get crafty.  The Design Teams are excited to see your creations.

For my inspiration I chose to do a Birthday (Double Trouble pink ticket) and also selected colors from Color Dare Challenge #704. Kuretake water color paints, black pen scribbles, stitched square dies from MFT, and a sentiment from Gina K Designs, Spring Things set got it done.

1. Anniversary or Wedding (Yellow Ticket)
2. Father's Day or Masculine (Blue Ticket)
3. Birthday (Pink Ticket)
4. Graduation (Green Ticket)

Fuchsia

Today I got to play with a new stencil from Spellbinder's, Layered Magical Fuchsia. I don't have a Betterpress, or the embossing folder for this, so had to do some pen work myself after stenciling. The card uses Freshly Made Sketch #737. I stamped the outer panel with Gina K Designs Elegant Script Background in Soft Stone ink. I used Altenew's Nesting Arches die set. The floral inks Plum Punch card stock are Gina K. I found the right sized sentiment in an Altenew Pain-A-Flower set, Magnolia Rustica, and heat embossed it.

Blooming Branches

Happy Monday!

Ready for some crafting? I have an inspiration card for this week's new challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

My card uses Blooming Branches die, embossing folder and layering stencil bundle, inked with Sweet Mango and Wild Dandelion.  I cut a panel with a large circle and then arranged my florals across the top.  The leaves came from a different set, One Day At A Time. The inks used were Light Spruce, Tranquil Teal, and Cadet Blue.

Directly on the card front I stenciled Altenew's Square Weave Pattern with Sandy Beach ink. Foam tape was used for the top and bottom. I added some mini embellishments and then some black lines on the Tranquil Teal card stock strips.

Also linking my card to Just Add Ink #785 - used both stencils and dies on my card.

Courtyard Silhouettes

Challenge #695 is new today at

Try A Sketch On Tuesday!

I used a recent Gina K release, Courtyard Silhouettes, for this card but tried an inking technique with the bouquet. I used Zig clean color pens to color the stamp in the Misti so I could get a watercolor-like effect. The sentiment is from the same set and embossing in gold.

Hoping you will play along at TSOT!  The Design Team loves seeing your creations.

There is also a 3-2-1 challenge on our sister blog Double Trouble. Check it out!
