A Single Rose

A  new challenge at Allsorts! #690/1 is Anything Goes/ Option Roses

There are two prizes for this challenge- one from Oakwood and images from Ruth Hamilton Design.

I made two cards with Ruth Hamilton's Rose Bud image. This first one bold with black and white and red. I colored the image with Altenew Artist Markers and cut with a Gina K Designs stitched oval. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp May 2020 kit, papers from my stash.

The second was lightly ink blended and fussy cut with scissors and craft knife. I adhered it to a panel that had been lightly ink blended using Simon Says Stamp Rose Trio stencil and cut with one of the dies in Altenew's Mix and Match Frames die set. The pale pink back panel was debossed with Altenew's Dotted Starburst cover die. The sentiment was the most exciting part for me - I discovered a sheet of preprinted sentiments from SSS. It was the perfect thing for this card!

There are some marvelous inspiration cards to see HERE from the rest of the design team. I hope you'll check them out and join us in this challenge.

  4. 2 lovely and very different cards using the RH image - love the contrast between the bold and bright one and the soft and delicate one.

  5. Love how you've showcased two different looks from the same rose Dena. The first is beautifully contemporary with the bold colour and black and white stripes and the second pretty and feminine - just lovely! Vicky x
