Inspired by Freshly Made Sketches # 529
I created this water color piece with the plastic wrap technique. I cut it down for the sketch element and did the same colors on one of the die cuts to tuck under the left side panel that is popped with foam tape. The white die cuts are two stacked together. The gold embossed sentiment is from Altenew's Paint a Flower Zinnia set. I used some gold thread and embellishments for a little added sparkle.
Use the sketch with an option to use scraps, which I have done with my card. Recently I organized my patterned paper by color families into folders. While doing this I saw several combinations of scrap that really went well together, so I paper clipped them and every now and then I pick one and make a card. The horizontal kraft piece is from a section of packing material, and the little stars were in a little plastic bag - no idea where they came from.
No sentiment on this as it will probably go out in July or maybe Memorial Day and I'll write inside.

This new Layered Tulip die from Waffle Flower is so fun to play with and easy to assemble. I cut on shades of pink and green card stocks and then ink blended edges to some contrast and depth.
I embossed a panel and then placed it behind a popped up frame cut with some rectangle dies. The sentiment is an older Savvy die.

For my design team inspiration, I adjusted the sketch to a top-folding portrait A-2 card. The background was ink blended with the Easter Background stencil from Pretty Pink Posh. The grass, flowers, bunnies and sentiment are from Simon Says Stamp March 2022 Kit 'Hoppy Days Ahead' I colored with Copics and fussy cut. The grass and sentiment with popped up with foam tape.
This week at Allsorts, Lorraine has selected the theme "In the Garden". Sponsors for the challenge are First Stop Stationers with two prizes: Card-io Winter Walks and Oriental Whispers.
My inspiration card did not turn out as I had hoped...but deadlines loom. Perhaps I will add another in a day or so with flowers this time. Plenty of those in the garden as swell. Right now it's just a few daffodils, primroses, anemone, forsythia, and the English daisies.

For my design team inspiration I created a 4.25x4.25 square card. The main panel was ink blended with Distress Oxide inks (Scattered Straw, Salt Water Taffy, Abandoned Coral) with MFT Small Brick Wall stencil. Then without removing that stencil, I placed the Cable Knit Heart stencil (Brutus Monroe) over and inked again. The bunnies were stamped, shaded a bit with Copics, and fussy cut. They come from the Simon Says Stamp March kit. The sentiment is from that set as well.
