Bunny

I am really photo challenged...I built the white photo box...but I guess my light is too yellow.  Ugh.

But on to happier things.  Although my bunny looks not so great in my photo, he is REALLY cute!
I CASED the idea from this wonderful blog called Cricut With Heart  If you have a Cricut, you must check this blog out. She has wonderful projects and gives all the measurement directions. Her bunny (superbly photographed) just spoke to me.  I hopped upstairs and made several right away!
Bunny is white, and I used Cotton candy for his nose and feet pads.  Grey baker's twine for whiskers, and some  retired Background paper for inside ears.  Opened he has a pouch for a gift card or two miniature candy bars.  I think we should also add a cotton ball to behind.

Fabulous You

Some days nothings looks the way you thought it would...

I've used a new stamp from a CTMH set, Fabulous You, and a pattern from Make It From Your Heart.

Bedtime for Bear and Sketch #6

Another lovely digital image found at From the Heart Stamps and their i {heart} sketches challenge.
A friend just had her second little boy, and this will go to her. It really should have been a square card, and yet I think it works as a standard.  I made the 'quilt' background panel adhering small squares to graph paper before running it through the Swiss Dot embossing folder. Hard to see the embossing in this photo, but it really does add to the quilt feeling and matches the dots in the image.

Image: From the Heart, Bedtime for Bear
Papers+ Inks: CTMH, Clementine packet; Twilight and Sorbet card stock and stars Cricut cut from Silver Glitter paper; metallic pen, silver twine.
I used the Angel sentiment in the inside

Love From Sugar

My grandsons just adopted a rescue dog and named her Sugar.  She is a ten month-old chi-weenie and just adorable.  I made this card to give the boys from Sugar.
It was love at first sight for them, and for me when I saw this incredible image from A Day For Daisies, 'Loyal Friend.'  I am also posting it at Cards in Envy for sketch #1, and
Friday Mash Up 97 challenge to use texture and markers. Sentiments are from CTMH stamp sets.
Cards In Envy is a brand new challenge blog that is all about creating cards that can fit in the envelope and not be destroyed by the postal machines!

From Your Heart Stamp of the Month Challenge

Faith has a new page and a new look to show case her beautiful drawings here.  And she has begun the stamp of the month challenge once again - always one of my favorites!  To begin, you purchase the image of the month, make a project using it, and enter it.  From then on you will receive the next month's image without charge as long as you continue to use the new image in a project and enter the challenge monthly.  So I'm in again and look forward to seeing the creations and getting my email from Faith each month!
Here is my card using "Cupcake Lineup."  I used a Kraft card base, and CTMH Blush card stock. I love how easy it is to change image size with digital stamps! The larger cupcake is popped up with some foam tape.  Inside I fussy-cut the other two cupcakes, and used a sentiment from My Pink Stamper 'Sweetest Cupcakes' set.  Now that I look at the photo, I think it needs some sparkles in the bottom right corner...sparkles, like cupcakes, are always welcome.

Fresly Made Sketches #73

When I saw this sketch I thought of this lovely A Day for Daisies image that I've had for several months and not used. Freshly Made is a challenge blog new to me, and so happy to have found it.  I've enjoyed looking at the creative work for a few weeks, and was thrilled to find a little time to craft and play along.
I used my water brush and Close To My Heart inks to color. The papers are also CTMH from their new Claire packet. The colors of card stock are Blush and Outdoor Denim.

Spinning the Wheel of Life

The New Close To My Heart Idea book is so full of gorgeous creations!  This card was inspired by a project on page 77.  I used the bottom corner of the design to create a card.  Loved the blue/green colors colors of the original and used some retired papers with Pear and Lagoon.

Doggone It

The new CTMH catalog has so many fabulous cards to inspire.  Some I just have to recreate!  This is CASE of a tag pictured on page 105. I made it into a standard sized card and added some hemp and a 'bone' button.  It's so cute!  And the stamp set A Bowwow is only $6.95!  My grandsons have a new dog, their first. He's a rescue dog and has been very happy.  So I'll put some dog treats in a bag with this card.  A doggie Valentine.

This card was made with one of the images from the Close To My Heart February Stamp of the Month and CTMH Dakota papers.  A simple, quick card.  This was one card offered at my workshop this week.

Avonlea Birthday

These cards from Close To My Heart are beautiful - quality card stock. It is more challenging for me to figure out what to do with the shape though, and I don't often try.  Yesterday while making the circles with butterflies I thought of the lovely Avonlea papers that have circles in the background.  This is the card I came up with.  It will be one we make at my workshop next week.

CTMH Products used:
Colonial White die-cut card + envelope
 Avonlea paper collection, Slate ink
Birthday sentiment from 'Just a Number' stamp set
Chocolate and Colonial White card stock

Blissful Butterflies

It is finally a crafting weekend! No other commitments at all. It's paper heaven. One of my favorite CTMH crafters is Brenda - and she and her mom Joanie have a blog together.  They both create amazing things, and always give helpful instructions.  I loved Joanie's card here and had to try it.  The measurement was tricky, but after the first try I 'got' it.  It really is an elegant card and it will probably be the wedding card I need for next weekend.

Products Used:
CTMH Bamboo and Colonial White card stock
CTMH Bliss paper (retired)
CTMH Opaques and Chocolate ink
EK and Martha Stewart punches
