JustA Note

No photo description available.Monday is here again with a sketch from AHSC!  I have used some paper gifted to me from a friend, some Bazzill card stock, some dotted papers from my first days at Close to My Heart, and heart stickers from a Simon Says Stamp kit.  Those CTMH papers are from the 1990s!! I have to admit to paper hoarding now, right??  I found two little drawers full of the samplers I would get as a consultant.  Oh, the's like pulling out photos of family from decades ago - such fond memories.
The colors in my card are so soft and really pretty, but not great on camera.

HBD Dude

I used a brand new-to-me stencil from Altenew, with Pickett Fence brush and Ranger Distress Oxide inks.  The sentiment is from the Stop Drop and Party set (Simon Says Stamp), heat embossed with Brutus Monroe Alabaster White. The embellishments are from my stash of Close To My Heart goodies. The inside says "Happy Birthday Dude."

I am linking this card to two challenges that inspired crafting today:

Daisy Birthdays

My goal this year is to send birthday greetings to all my P.E.O. sisters.  Since our emblem is a star and also daisies, I watch for stamps and dies that feature them.  Another goal is to make some use of the prodigious amount of patterned paper I have collected....I gathered materials today and made a few die cuts with the new tiny "peeking daisy' die from Simon Says.  I'd made two cards already and need a design for more, when I found the Crazy for Challenges sketch!  It was perfect for my two little inlaid die cut circles. The paper is from 'stash' - who knows??! It's been in the file for quite a while.  The sentiment is Close To My Heart - a  wonderful set that has been heavily used for many years. So fun to combine old and new.

These are the two cards I had already made.

AHSC 329 Frog Yoga

Image may contain: text

So fun to use my new Stampendous set: Frog Yoga!!
There are 5 frogs in various poses, and 7 fun sentiments to accompany them. My little granddaughter saw this card on my table when she arrived early this morning, and wanted to color some frogs :-)

I colored with Copics, and added some layers of white gel pen to brighten up the eyes. The sentiment is heat embossed.  I have used  Atlantic Hearts sketch 329,  play along with us this week - link here. There is a new sketch posted every Monday, and I love seeing what crafters create each week.
I am also linking my card to this week's color challenge at Paper Players. Black+White+Green
