Funky Blossom

Several days working this week and a friend visiting from Texas kept me busy and away from the craft room.  It was great to come home tonight and get the chance to make a card.  When I saw the new Atlantic Hearts sketch Monday, I thought of this set Funky Blossoms. At first I was discouraged by the fact that the chevron embossing folder is only 5" wide, but then decided that the card could use some dimension. I mounted the 5 x 3 3/4 " panel on foam. The top flower was water brushed with Canary, Honey and Pear inks, cut and mounted over the black stamped flower. I added some Liquid Glass to the flower center.
Not exactly a CAS card because of so many layers, but the back and white with a just pop of color makes me happy. I love all the beautiful patterned papers, but all this crisp white is my real favorite kind of card.

  1. Pretty! Love the pop of yellow along with the black and white.. great card!

  2. I really love the use of Liquid Glass on this card, it really makes it pop! Thanks for joining us at AHSC.

  3. Great card - love that embossing for an extra pop of dimension. Thanks for playing along at AHSC.
