Lotus

 Inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #759 today as I craft a birthday card for a friend in Japan. I did some light watercolor and then splattered with a more concentrated green. The lotus, an older Altenew set, was inked first in a light ink before coloring with alcohol markers. I do this in my Misti whenever I'm going to use lighter colors to avoid any chance of bleeding. Then after coloring, I inked again in black. I also used some watercolor on a strip of watercolor paper for the sentiment. 

Autumn Blessings

 How wonderful to find seasonal things in your stash that have been forgotten/neglected for a while. It's like getting new supplies!

This Filmore Tall Curve Border from poppy stamps was cut from some copper matt metallic card. I did some snipping to have it hug the curve on the Gina K oval and used the bits for a little embellishment. The stiped paper is from a Craft Smith pad that was on sale last spring. Sentiment from Gina K Harvest of Happiness set.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #704 

I used some papers from a Craft Smith pad that was on sale a while ago and a sentiment from Gina K Designs. The scallop was cut with a border punch, and the banners just free cut. Thanksgiving is really a favorite holiday for me - so many happy family memories and a perfect opportunity to send gratitude to my friends and family.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

I dug into my yellow/orange/brown pattern paper folders and found all these fun scraps. I'm loving all the autumn colors right now. They were cut at 1/2" and layered on some Dark Chocolate card stock. Sentiment and banner die from Gina K Designs. I added a little loop of ribbon from my stash.
