Family Blessings

Many opportunities for gratitude about now, especially family and friends.  I had cataract surgery on both eyes last Monday and crafting has been a challenge until today. So I missed The Paper Players sketch deadline.  But it was a fun sketch to work with, and I recommend checking out the awesome cards linked there. I combined the sketch with Color Throwdown Challenge #617.

I used a My Favorite things die and coordinating shaker pouch with Simon Says Stamp and Pretty Pink Posh embellishments inside. Behind I placed colors from the challenge made with Distress Oxide Ink Festive Berries, Twisted Citron and Pine Needles.  I used the same colors to blend on some scrap and cut out leaves using Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Leaves dies.  The base panel was dry embossed with a Brustus Monroe stencil. Stamped sentiments are from an 'ancient' Close to My Heart set - one of their early clear stamp sets. (November Word Puzzle about 20 years ago!  Use your stash!♥
