Cherry Blossom Time

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #311

I am eagerly preparing for my trip to Japan. Leaving tomorrow, and hoping there will be a few cherry blossoms left to view in Northern Honshu!  The stamp set is retired CTMH , 'Fabulous You,' and I tried some water coloring on the image using Distress Oxides.  I stamped the diamond pattern from the set several times using CTMH Champagne ink. I stamped the image twice again, colored some of the flower images, fussy cut them and popped them up with a bit of foam tape.  I also added some highlights on the flowers with a black and white gel pens.

This is a wonderful sketch - hop on over to AHSC and play along. If you need a little more inspiration, my card and the rest of the Design Team will post there on Wednesday.

I apologize for the poor color...I seem to have lost my regular camera, and this was a phone photo...It is a soft, muted card. Very peaceful.  The close up shows the colors a bit better.

    1. Thank you Christine! I've not had new followers for a while. I'm not going to be posting much for a few weeks - couldn't bring my crafting with me to Japan. I made one more AHSC card that I can post from here in two weeks. Once I'm home I'll be back in full swing :-)
