Christmas Pine

Happy Monday morning!

New at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge this week - sketch #660 is a quick and easy design for using some pretty papers. Or you could random stamp or stencil a background.  I'm baking up a storm of shortbread and biscotti for gifts and so I took the easy route :-) and pulled from my Christmas stash.

I just love this deep dark green.

Hope you will play along with us at AHSC.

May your Heart be Merry

A new challenge at Try A Sketch On Tuesday!

It was fun playing with an embossing folder technique seen on a recent Gina K live. I embossed with a Spellbinder's folder, ink blended with Light Carnation and Petunia, and then rubbed lightly with an Altenew Gold pad. I cut the panel and gold matts with some square dies.

The poinsettia was embossed with Gina K's Grand Poinsettia die/embossing folder. But it was too large, so I fussy cut the center, added some gold sprigs and sequins.  The sentiment was foiled and cut using Simon Says Stamp/Gina K collaboration set, Merry & Light. That was also subjected to surgery - the bottome half which says "and your heart be light." was adhered to the inside.

JOY

 Happy Monday!

We begin December with a new challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

For this sketch I used a lot of things from my Christmas stash box: some patterned paper from CTMH, a die from Simon Says, some snowflakes from a Gina K set, and brads!  Yes, star brads from the very mixed up embellishment drawer. Stitched dies also from Simon Says and Gina K.

Hope you will play along!
