While September really does still have lovely sunny days, once it's 'back to school' month, it means autumn to me. Perhaps several decades of teaching cemented that into my being :-)
The new challenge at Try A Sketch On Tuesday shows two main elements , and our sister challenge at Double Trouble has added an optional twist to make an aperture and fill it.
So for my Design Team inspiration I made a maple leaf aperture with a Simon Says Stamp die and filled it with some autumn colored embellishments. The background was embossed with Gina K's Falling Leaves folder and then I rubbed it with gold gilding wax. The leaves and acorn were cut, inked and also edged with gilding wax. Sentiment from Gina K's Doodled Autumn set was stamped and fussy cut.
Hope you will check out the DT inspiration and play along. It's such fun to visit your blogs to see your creations.
Dena, I LOVE your fall card! That gold gilding wax created such a gorgeous background for your card. I love those die cut leaves as well. Just everything about your card is beautiful! Thank you for sharing it with us at Double Trouble!! -Donna
