A day at the beach

My inspiration card for Try a Sketch On Tuesday #671

Torn edges made me think of the ocean - sand and water- and all the fun of walking along the edge discovering shells.  Once at Grayland I came across of gorgeous and huge starfish!  It was a stunning color.  The ocean is my happy place!  And the craft room, too, of course.

Hope you will play along! And check out the challenge at our sister blog Double Trouble (see below)

Beautiful Friend

A new to me die set arrived this week, and I was excited to play with it.  As I was trying to decide where to begin, I saw some challenges that were perfect inspiration.

My card features the floral part of Altenew's Zero-Waste Oval Serenity die set.  I cut the die in four colors from my scrap folders, then again into a white panel that was cut using Gina K Master Layout 1.  Then it was inlay time!  I added some details with a white gel pen, and a white embossed sentiment from Gina K Designs Delicate Flowers set.

Thank you to Freshly Made Sketches #687, Cut It Up #330 (Send Me Flowers), and Sunday Stamps #360 for the inspiration. I love how this turned out.

Teaching

Still crafting some teacher thank you cards for my grandchildren. Today's card was inspired by the mood board at Just Us Girls challenge #775.

I stenciled with Spellbinder's Write On, May 2025 stencil of the month. The sentiment and panel dies are Gina K Designs Teacher Appreciation set and Master Layout 2. I cut the sentiment die twice in black for a bit of dimension and offset it a bit. The Card stock is      Gina K Sunflower.

Buttercream Birdy Bliss

Happy Monday!  Which means a new sketch challenge at Atlantic Hearts

My inspiration for you this week used a AALL&Create set, Buttercream Birdy Bliss. After stamping lightly with grey, I colored with pencils and Gamsol, then stamped again in black.  The frame around it comes from Gina K Design ML19. The sentiment is from my stash (probably SSS). Card base Gina K, Innocent Pink.

Hope you will play along with this challenge at AHSC

Teacher Appreciation

Inspired by challenge #686 at Freshly Made Sketches.  This card will go to my granddaughter's teacher.  I cut the heart and splattered with gold.  The back panel was ink blended and then the sentiments heat embossed.

Anniversary with Yellow Carnations

My inspiration card for Try A Sketch On Tuesday #670

This card using all Gina K Design products will go to my son and daughter-in-law for their 20th wedding anniversary.  They are the most beautiful couple and it is a joy to celebrate this special day.

I created a side-folding A2 card base with Sunflower card stock and cut 1" off the front side. I adhered a white panel inside for a personal message. The front was created using the Art Deco stencil with Wild Dandelion ink, and then stamped with the Elegant Script Background in Light Sage. The  flowers and leaves were created with the Layered Carnation stamp and die set inked with Sweet Corn, Wild Dandelion, Butterscotch, Light and Medium Sage.  I inked some slivers of white card with Medium Sage for the vertical strips.  The sentiment, stamped with Medium Sage is from the Graceful Greetings set.

I love this sketch from TSOT!  You will be amazed at the creations from the rest of the Design Team. Please look at their creative and beautiful cards, and I hope you will play along.  The challenge is open from May 13th - May 25th and is aligned with a randomly drawn prize at Double Trouble Challenge #191 celebrating their 7th anniversary. Love You More Than Tacos

New for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #628 which begins today. Here is my DT inspiration for you-  all the Design Team cards are posted on the AHSC blog on Wednesday.

I've made a quick card for my oldest grandchild who adores tacos using a Brutus Monroe stamp set. I stamped with a light beige, colored with Copics and then stamped again with black.  Love the magic of the Misti! All three were fussy cut and popped up with foam tape.  The background is Gina K Designs Gauze Background.

I hope you will join the challenge! I love seeing your creations and visiting your blog links.
