Time to Unwind

A CAS card inspired by two challenges.  I stamped the image from Yarn Love, Simon Says Stamp, and colored it with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. The sentiment was stamped in Indian Corn Blue, and I matted the image panel on Indian Corn card stock.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I love the colors, the autumn chill, the special foods, and most importantly the gatherings with friends and family to celebrate our blessings.

So when I go through my stamps and supplies I find more autumn themed products than anything else. Today I found some beautiful things left from last year's fall kit at Gina K Designs.  The Autumn Splendor kit came with a die to cut these gorgeous fall ephemera pieces, and they are still available in her shop. I just had to make a few more cards with them, so I made a pop-up card. The sentiments, stamped in chocolate ink are from this year's Gina K Harvest Silhouettes kit.

A wonderful fall inspiration photo for the new challenge from

Try Stampin' On Tuesday

My card uses both the photo and the sketch. The images and sentiment are from Gina K Designs A Breath of Sunshine kit. I stamped, colored with Gina K inks and used coordinating dies. The right  right back panel was embossed with the Altenew Deck Planks folder and inked.

Halloween Birthday

Monday morning means a new sketch at

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!

My design team card for you is one that will go to a dear friend who has her birthday October 31st! I actually have two friends with birthdays on Halloween, and they always get special cards :-)

The sketch is perfect for using some fun papers from the stash.  I have a pouch devoted to Halloween papers, washi tape, Baker's twine, and some embellishments so they are featured in this card.

The circle sentiment and orange paper are both CTMH products from over a decade.  Great papers are hoarded and some stamp sets are forever friends.  The inside has a few little matching banners.

Grateful for You

Good morning and here's to the new challenge  #736 at

Sketch Saturday

The sketch has been rotated for my Design Team card.  You can see both orientations of the sketch in the amazing cards the rest of the team has for your inspiration.

The banner was ink blended with Distress Inks -Aged Mahogany, Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, and Shabby Shutters and run through Gina K Designs Falling Leaves embossing folder. And I lightly inked the raised leaves with gold pigment ink.  The die cut leaves and sentiment are also Gina K Designs from her September '23                Breath of Sunshine kit.

Vintage

New challenge #749 at Allsorts this week gives you the option to create a Vintage theme card or Anything Goes.

Prizes from: Stamp AddictsOakwoodHighlight CraftsRuth Hamilton Design, AALL and Create and Craft Stash

It was a a fun time poking about in my embellishment 'junk' drawer! It's where all the little odds and ends find a home :-) I found the little bird in there, some lace and the Tom Holtz sentiments.  For the newspaper I printed a free newspaper page, stamped some silhouette leaves and flowers, a AALL& Create stamp and then did some distressing on edges.

CASE a Design Team card

This was a challenge that provided quite some fun today!

The design team at Just Us Girls has some stunning cards, but I was drawn to Bobby's card. I watched the Jo Simons video which she links in her post, and then went through my supplies. Altenew's folders are marvelous and I have several, but only three florals, so I used Majestic Bloom.  Then I was shocked to discover I did not have Peacock Feathers in Distress Oxide. I substituted Broken China which was the closest one I had. I wish I had used a bit more of it near the amber in the blending stage.

                               Bobby's card:

My CASE

It's a really fun technique and one I will try again. Putting a few folders in my wish list :-)
