TSOT #559 Cruisin'

 Great new sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday with an option to make a masculine card. All my sons were summer boys and now my oldest grandson is a summer guy also turning 16 this year. So guy cards are needed!

I used some long retired (ie. hoarded) paper from CTMH called Cruisin', a car from  an Altenew mini set, and sentiment from Gina K Designs. All the inks and the stitched oval die were Gina K as well. Time for a road trip!

Just A Note SS #702

Good morning!  

Another fun new sketch challenge at  Sketch Saturday.  This has lots of layers and was a fun way to use some pretty papers from my stash, and a sentiment from Simon Say Stamp April 2022 kit stamped with Blue Denim on pink paper.  Confetti embellishment from Pretty Pink Posh.  The flowers were fussy cut from the pattern on the reverse side of the blue dot paper.

A new challenge at Allsorts #679 - Sun, Sea & Sand. Lorraine is your host this week.

My inspiration card for you has just sun and sea. I always love the sight and sound of the ocean- the power, beauty and endless energy. This Stampin Up! image was stamped using three Distress Oxide inks, and light ink blending for the sky.  The card will go to my dearest friend who is beginning her chemotherapy journey.

AHSC #475 You're Beautiful

 

Good morning! Monday is new sketch time for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

This one is a bit different - sketch #475 looked like a quilt to me, so I made many 1/2" strips from some pieces from my patterned paper box. Most are bits from Simon Says kits. I arranged them on a panel following the sketch design and then trimmed it down to mat on a black piece. The stamped sentiment is from an Altenew set, and the die cut from Simon Says. Butterflies were cut with punches.  

I'm excited to see what fun creative ways this sketch is interpreted. Hope you will play along!

Allsorts "Anything but a Birthday'

 This week at Allsorts - Challenge #678 Anything but a Birthday! 

My design team inspiration uses a new Paint-a-Flower: Magnolia Rustica from Altenew stamped several times in black to fill the panel and once again on another piece that I colored with Altenew Artist Markers and fussy cut. I also cut out a rectangle from the back panel and put in back in place with foam tape. The sentiment is from the same set, and a few sequins for sparkle.

There are two fabulous prizes for the challenge this week at Allsorts:  Paper Boutique 8x8 Sunflowers paper pad and Tattered Lace Cut & Emboss Sweetpeas

TSOT 557 Congrats

 Happy to share my design team inspiration card for Sketch #557 at  Try Stampin' On Tuesday!  

It's time for graduations and I will need a few cards this year. My card uses some paper from My Favorite Things, a stencil from Brutus Monroe used to emboss, stamps from a long retired Close To My Heart set called Blue Ribbon, a star punch, and a sentiment die from Impression Obsession. And, of course, some sparkly confetti from Pretty Pink Posh.  I did use the 'Congrats' option with the sketch.

New design for the bi-weekly challenge at Sketch Saturday.

My design team card uses some patterned paper from my stash and the new Altenew Mini-Delight stamp and die set, You're a Classic. And some twine for that sketch element.  Nuvo drops provide embellishment accents  This is a very fun set to stamp. I used several reds and blues to get some shading on the cars. I ink blended the same colors on scraps of white before cutting out the sentiment die included in the set.
