Unicorn Birthday Love

She made a fabulous slider scene with some of the newest My Favorite Things products.  I had been
trying for two days to figure out how to make a special interactive card for my granddaughter's 4th birthday party tomorrow. I stamped the unicorns and other images from a new Mama Elephant stamp + die set purchased especially for this. I colored them with Copics last evening, and was not sure how to go about putting them together with a slider.  Watching this video, I knew right away what I wanted to do.  I LOVE how it came out♥  Full of sparkle and fun.

It took me quite a while to figure out the size of the panels, and how to to this all without the slider die...I want one badly now!!  But it was worth it. Remember when all we had was scissors and wooden stamps? How did we manage without dies and a Misti?! :-)

The card base is a standard 5.5x4.25, the pink mat 5.25x4. Then on a white panel I blended distress ink, and spayed with transparent  Shimmer spray (this just refused to show up in my photos, but really looks awesome IRL). This is the piece that I cut for the slider. Not sure what Stephanie used for the little plastic piece in the slider - I used a penny.  A My Favorite Things die-namics  cut the grass, Lawn Fawn die for the clouds, Verve cut above for the stars. The dark on the castle and unicorns is actually purple though it appears black in the photos.  I used a gold sparkle gel pen, and a gold Shimmer pen for highlights.

I cannot wait to see her pull the tab and see the unicorns 'kiss'.  She adores all things unicorn, pink and purple.  And I had such fun using so many of my favorite products together!
