Paper Players sketch #430 was used for this card. I spent the weekend at a craft retreat and made this faux watercolor of daffodils which I cut with Spellbinders oval. I have rotated the sketch for this piece. Background papers, card stocks, image and sentiment all from Close to My Heart. I used Ranger Distress inks.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #305
What a classic and lovely sketch at Atlantic Hearts! It is my week to share a design. My cards uses Spellbinders fancy circles cut from textured card stock, Altenew Painted Flowers, CTMH Whisper card stock, Simon Says Stitched Rectangle die, sentiment from Simon Says Circle Sayings, and some ribbon from my stash.
Play along at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, or at least check out the wonderful inspiration. Design Team cards post there on Wednesday.

Party Time
A friend and I share the same birthday - though I had it first by four years :-) We always have a fun party. He collects, and plays, guitars and our dinner nights always include lots of music.
So I have used the challenge at AAA #134 for my design inspiration for his card this year. I am away on a craft retreat, and having a very hard time finding good light to photograph.
He also adores pizza. So I found a plain wood pizza cutter, drew the guitar strings on and had a friend here at the craft retreat wood burn and oil it. It has his name burned on the other side.

Botanical Backgrounds
This background set from CTMH has been a longtime favorite. I've been trying to clean my craft room ... and instead of finding things to let go, I find things to play with again!
I white heat embossed it on some heavy card stock, and then 'water colored' the panel with various blue Distress inks.
This is one of my favorite things lately! I splattered with gold shimmer paint, heat embossed the sentiment in gold on vellum.
Fun to play along with Challenge #22 Tic Tac Toe at Double Trouble -
though I didn't add the twist of Magic. Forgot about my Unicorn set until I was ready to post...

White and gold
Die cuts, a very pale swash of watercolor, some splatters, and a gold embossed sentiment. I cut the prism triangle die twice and glued them together for dimension. My first thought was to have the watercolor show through...but it looked too busy, so I backed with a solid piece of card stock. The triangle was trimmed to make two smaller triangles. I have not done a white on white card - it's really tough. Not sure this worked, but it is a look I would like to perfect.

Celebrate
Taking time during our recent snowstorms to watch videos and tutorials. I have longed for some of those dimensional/stacking dies, but just can't deal with the price. So Jennifer Mc Guire's recent post about how to get the same effect with a single cover die had me excited. It works!! Easy and fun to do. I can't wait to try another.
The Darice cover die is 4.25x5.5. I cut it in white, and then three shades of card stock. When gluing, you offset each layer and trim the side. I used a Papertrey Ink stamp and stacked it for dimension. The sentiment is from a CTMH set.

Bee Happy
Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #303
I used three CTMH sets from the past: Doodled Designs, Happy to be Friends, and a Petite Perks. I performed some masking and pen tricks on the sentiment to create the 'Bee'
AHSC is teaming up with Double Trouble again this week, so there will be LOTS of inspiring entries at both sites. Check them out and play along!
I used the sketch, and added the Double Trouble: flowers and a 'buzz'
