Cool Birthday AHSC #375

This week's sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge has several layers.  For my design team card I have used papers from my stash, and the Perfect Popsicles stamp and die set from Sunny Studio.
Pink inks are CTMH and oranges are Altenew.  The panel, banner and circle all cut with Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes.

Anniversary AHSC #373

New sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #373
A day late...finished a big scrapbook project for a friend, and just ran out of creative steam. But this morning the cleaned up craft table gave me hope for this sketch. I found it to be a challenging one for some reason. I tend to be literal when following a sketch, and I do not have a large star in my stash and I needed six anniversary cards to get me through to August!  So a variety of products were used creating my card. The butterfly image is from the June Simon Says Stamp kit and I colored it with colored pencils and then covered it with my Wink of Stella pen. I wish the shimmer showed in the photos.  I used a piece of background paper and created the left side by stamping several images from Altenew Garden Silhouette - water spritzed and second generation. Then stamped on top of that with a very light gray ink using a dear favorite CTMH background script stamp. The circle was made using an Altenew background die and the another circle frame die. Lots of sequins scattered around to pick up the butterfly shimmer.

Birthday Joy PP493

Trying to learn water coloring...and it is so not easy for me. I spent an entire evening struggling with this Iris!  Happy I have subscribed to Altenew's Monthly Paint-a-Flower. Today I will practice with the the hydrangea...

This card used purple, the Wonky Rectangle die, and the sentiment is a heat embossed birthday. I'm linking it to The Paper Players Tic Tac Toe challenge.

Origami Hello

Love to use some of the pretty papers I have from my travel times in Japan.  This card was inspired by the Just Add Ink sketch  #507

The sentiment from Ellen Hutson Modo Succulent set was heat embossed.
There is a shimmer of gold in the orange geometric paper that just won't photograph, but is lovely in real life.  I've left off any other embellishments...nothing looked right, so it stays quite simple. What do you think?

Birthday

Excited to make a card for my middle son who will be 39 on Saturday.  Wow!  It astonishes me that we have had that many birthday celebrations...His own boys are growing so quickly and it all makes me proud and happy, but I feel a little old!

I used a new to me stencil that came in an order last week: Brutus Monroe Quilt Block. I used Distress Oxide inks: Speckled Egg, Tumbled Glass and Evergreen Bough, and rotated the stencil and inked again. The sentiment was cut from card stock I had inked with the same colors and a piece of vellum. It is a two piece CZ Design die.

Atlantic Hearts #371

Image may contain: text that says 'Sketch 371 Sentiment Createdby Michelle Stewart for Atlantic Hearts Sketch SketchChallenge'

New sketch time this morning at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog!
This is my Design Team card for this week - which will appear on the AHSC blog Wednesday.
It has been a while since I was a CTMH consultant...I adored their paper collections (they still have gorgeous papers and coordinating inks) and most of my inks are CTMH - great quality and last forever! This is one of my favorite hoarded sets from that time -Charlotte. The die cut sentiment is a  new CZ Design die.  I've embellished with Nuvo drops and a dimensional heart that came with the Charlotte kit.

I am a crafty You tube addict - learning new techniques and seeing some jaw-dropping artwork. I CASE a lot of cards I see out there.  But I love sketches - they force me to be creative myself with the crutch of a great design.

Stay well, get crafty this week!
