pp197 Birthday

The sketch at Paper Players today was perfect for my new digital from A Day for Daisies that I colored with markers and water brush. 
I used a Kraft card base, layered with Close To My Heart Skylark paper and Lagoon and Sweet Leaf card stock. The sentiment is from the CTMH Holiday Tags set. The tag used two SU! punches. Button, twine + hemp from the stash.

 

Hello FMS 137

My goodness, between school and the yard/flowers/grass I have been away from my crafting table for far too long!  Only 14 more work days until retirement, however, and then I hope to be able to spend more time here.
Today I used a Freshly Made Sketch (rotated) and some new supplies: Yasumoto sparkling watercolors and a Memory Box stencil. I painted in the stem with a brush and Pear ink. The sentiment, also stamped in CTMH Pear, is a studio G stamp, embellishments Close To My Heart. The photograph just doesn't capture the shimmer of the watercolor.

 

Feel Better STS #19

Second post today!  So happy to be able to play along with some great challenges.
Seize the Sketch this week has a great sketch - I took a bit of a liberty with the pennants.
The band aides and sentiment are a Studio G stamp, the nurse is a digital colored with markers. Designed paper from Close To My Heart, Sarita and Footloose (both retired); card stocks used are White Daisy, Gold Rush, and Blush from CTMH as is the arrow stamp (One Way Borders) on the Blush strip.
This card makes me smile, and I hope it will do the same for my friend's dad who had surgery today.

 

Zipper

Nearly two long weeks without time for my craft room. The end of the school year is always busy, but seems more so this year. I am glad to be able to steal a day to play and to create a card for a dear friend.

CAS-ology this week is 'Metal'   The sentiment is computer generated. I used Loki Cola and Batang fonts.  The lovely zippered lace is an embellishment from Close To My Heart. At first I had a full white panel, but decided to try cutting it apart.  It fit somehow with the sentiment, set the focus apart, and still left plenty of white space.
