Don't be afraid of this. I actually took a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of scrap paper and drew the shapes in to fit, then measured them. I selected four patterned papers from my black folder and then cut putting the little pieces on the 'pattern' to keep them organized.  After gluing them down to a 4.25x5.5 piece of card stock, I felt it needed the pop of a black mat, so trimmed tiny bits off the sides.
